Hi, I'm Molly Upchurch.
I am a professional photographer based in Amador County, California. I love capturing natural beauty & human connection.
My photography journey began in 2021, immediately after I was gifted my first camera for my birthday. I had always been interested in portrait photography, so this was the perfect opportunity to start playing around with it more. After a few sessions with close friends, I realized how much I truly loved photography & knew that it would become an important part of my life. Molly Jane Photography was born!
I have a passion for encouraging people to see their true beauty and providing them with a fun & memorable experience. My style is relaxed, fun, and unique! I love to pull colors from our vibrant surroundings & natural sunlight, to create one-of-a-kind images! I’ve immersed myself in learning and growing these past 3 years and am so excited to continue on this journey!
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me at Disneyland, discovering yummy restaurants, hanging out with my fur babies, or teaching Zumba, Dance, Buti Yoga, and Barre at my Wellness Studio in Ione.
This adventure has given me the opportunity to pursue something that I love and connect with so many amazing people. Every single shoot has been special and unique, and I hope to be able to create something beautiful with you soon!

Meet Mea & Jenny!
Jenny is my mom and best friend! I drag her along on special occasions to be my second shooter. I am so grateful she loves to join me! She has helped me form, Molly Jane Photography, and has been with me every step of the way. I have learned so much from her throughout my life. I am so grateful I have such a strong role model to guide me on this journey. I love this lady and you will too!
Mea is my girlfriend and best friend! You'll often see this wonderful human tagging along on shoots with me, as my "assistant" (she claims she loves to carry around all of my gear). Even with her busy life as a college student, I can always count on Mea's never-ending support. I love having her silly, positive personality around, to keep me motivated.
